I always use these Dollar Tree secrets, and I think you should too. This post of Dollar Tree secrets is the second of a two-part series. I’m sharing my hints and tips for shopping at Dollar Tree like a pro. So before shopping at Dollar Tree, take a look at this to get some ideas to get the best out of your shopping at Dollar Tree!
Secret #1 – Check Multiple Stores
The secret is that I shop at MULTIPLE stores. Not every store has everything or is in stock, so check around all your local stores. I am just lucky enough to live around a good amount of stores.
Don’t let editing fool you into thinking we find everything all at once. Check their site has a store locator and see what is around you. You can even select on there certain store selections you are looking for, like even the frozen food section.
Secret #2 – Use Dollar Tree’s Website
If you are a big DIYer, have a large project, or need a larger quantity of an item what you need to do is shop their website!
I think people forget the site option. I know it used to be that the site was only for large quantities but that isn’t the case anymore you can even order smaller amounts. Not all items are offered to ship in the same quantities or smaller, but you’ll never know till you check. Make sure to click that drop-down menu and see.
Save yourself some gas before driving around to all the stores and check that site.
Secret #3 – Site-to-Store Free Shipping
How do all those DIY YouTubers get all they need for those projects? They order from the site, but they ship the shipping cost by using Dollar Tree’s site-to-store option. Probably the easiest way to get your large quantity order and you can still shop the store when you go to pick up your order.
Secret #4 – Don’t Be Fooled by the Store Size
I think this tip is really important. Don’t be fooled by the smaller store size. Seriously! People I think are sometimes fooled thinking the smaller stores might not have the most or the best. Pleasantly surprised, but many times the smaller stores have been in stock where the larger ones were out.
Secret #5 – Not Everything is Where it’s Supposed to Be
This is a big lesson I’ve learned. Not everything in Dollar Tree is put where is supposed to be or where you think it would be. I don’t know what goes on. Like the employees just did not know where something should be or if there was a hurry to get items out and there was a gap in that spot. But what I’ve learned is if you take your time and walk the whole store you might find something out of place and that might be the item you are looking for. Check the end caps, you never know what type of items will be filled there.
